It's that time of year
again! The Sixth Annual "Run for Fun" is
scheduled for
Saturday, May 15th.
As many of you know, this run is in
memory of fallen
NYC Firefighter, Dennis McHugh, who
lost his life on 9/11, leaving behind 3
small children. Dennis was an avid
reader who spent many days at the
Piermont library with his oldest
daughter, Chloe (then 5). After
his death this foundation raised enough
money to help build the new Piermont
Library, dedicated in his memory. Since
it's completion, the proceeds from the
yearly "Run" and "Family Fair", go to
help local residents in need (usually
children) and/or improve area parks &
recreation.
Our office runs the 50/50 raffle table
on the day of the race - this year's
beneficiary will be announced soon.
It is a great family event, as there are
games for the kids, raffles, food, beer,
dunk tank, blow up castles & slides,
etc. and takes place right in the heart
of Piermont. Hope you can make it!
